Danielle established Toll House Clinic in 1995. She has gained over 20 years of experience in Bristol and surrounding areas in treating all musculoskeletal conditions and sporting injuries using traditional physiotherapy and acupuncture. Her friendly and approachable manner is followed by all the therapists in the team. Danielle enjoys treating frozen shoulders, rotator cuff injuries and post operative rehabilitation, including total knee replacement and total hip replacements.
Fiona joined the Toll House Clinic in 1997 moving from a senior position within the NHS. She has gained a high level of experience and expertise particularly in spinal and orthopaedic problems. She also has an interest in osteoarthritis and is excellent in caring for the more elderly patients. Fiona is happy to do a home visit if necessary. Fiona's clinical speciality includes Osteroporosis, women's health and Fit Back and Bumps Classes (www.fitbackandbumps.co.uk)
Elaine qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1998, following a Sports Science degree and a season of ski guiding and teaching swimming. She has worked within the NHS and for the last 8 years in a Military environment, supporting the Royal Logistics Corps Rugby Union Squad and the Royal Artillery Downhill Ski Team. Elaine has over 20 international caps as a Physiotherapist with the Rugby Football League and has volunteered at several Commonwealth and Olympic Games. Personally, Elaine has competed in Rowing and Sailing - accomplishing a circumnavigation in the Clipper 09/10 Round the World Yacht Race. Her special interests are Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation back to full fitness. Clinical Speciality - Shoulder Dysfunction.
Matthew qualified in 2002, he joined Toll House Clinic in 2006. He specialises in treating sports injuries particularly Achilles ruptures, repairs and ankle ligament injuries. He has a special interest in football injuries and can give expert advice in rehabilitation following a sports injury. Matthew has specialised knowledge in occupational health, he can help you with postural problems and preventing strain injuries in your work place.
Physiotherapist & Pilates
Matthew joined the clinic in 2009. He has an interest in Acupuncture and is also a qualified APPI Pilates Instructor. Matthew has a keen interest in rugby and cricket and is an active member of Old Down Cricket Club. If you have back pain following bowling or need exercises following arthroscopy then Matthew can offer excellent physiotherapy early and late appointments available.
Claire has specialised in treating all musculoskeletal conditions, as well as orthopaedic sports injuries with traditional physiotherapy. She has a wide experience of treating lower limb conditions such as knee pain, hamstring problems and achilles tendonitis. Claire offers evening and Saturday morning appointments which is suited to working people with running injuries or repetitive strain injuries.
Michael qualified in 2010 and has a degree in both Sports Science and Physiotherapy. He combines these two disciplines to effectively treat a wide range of conditions as well as sports injuries. He can also provide a specific exercise rehabilitation programme if required alongside your treatment. Michael has a particular interest in treating neck pain after a road accident and can provide medical reports if required.
Allanagh initially gained a Complimentary Therapy degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2007. Having the need to learn more and combine her complimentary therapies she then went on to study Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, Scotland and graduated in 2011. Allanagh has worked within the NHS, working in Adult Community, neurology and musculoskeletal outpatients.
Allanagh specialises in treating back, neck pain and sports injuries you may have using a mix of manual therapy, exercise therapy and electrotherapy. Her friendly and approachable attitude is a great asset to Toll House Clinic.
Olivia gained her physiotherapy degree in 2002. She initial worked in London for the NHS before travelling and working in Australia and New Zealand, then returned to London in 2006. Olivia has a great interest in Spinal physiotherapy and worked at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court. Olivia has expertise in rehabilitation using a variety of techniques TRX, Pilates and Swill Balls just to mention a few. Olivia has a bubbly, enthusiastic approach and has been a great support to our patients at Toll House Clinic.
Chiropractor - General Chiropractic Council, BCA Registered
Katarina joined Toll House Clinic in 2005. Her special interests include neck and back problems including disc problems causing sciatica or arm pain. She treats headache and migraine sufferers with evidence based treatments, but with a holistic approach. She is also a keen runner and has trained with the Hogweed Trotters Running Club in Chipping Sodbury. Katarina is often complimented on her kind and approachable attitude with excellent experienced manipulation techniques and has estabilished a large patient following.
Chiropractor – General Chiropractic Council Registered
Mike trained at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, qualifying with a BSc(Hons) degree in 2004. He is registered with the General Chiropractic Council. Alongside his chiropractic degree Mike has trained in dry needling. He specialises in chropractic neck and arm pain, low back and disc injuries, placing emphasis on rehabilitation so that once the injury has healed you strengthen the area to prevent relapse. A keen sportsman, Mike enjoys playing squash and football, has a passion for snowboarding and has been known to run the occasional half marathon.

Louise trained at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, qualifying with a BSc(Hons) degree in 2004. She is registered with the General Chiropractic Council. Louise is qualified in using a range of techniques that suit patients of all ages, these include dry needling. Louise specialises in low and sciatic back pain and prides herself on offering a friendly & honest approach, and an individual treatment plan is designed to suit your needs.
Olivia is a well experienced friendly podiatrist available on a Friday to treat all aspects of ailments of the feet. She has been an asset to Toll House Clinic with her breadth of knowledge and patient care. Olivia is qualified to do toenail surgery and offers all chiropody techniques.
Kylie works in the NHS during the day and offers Tuesday evening clinics at Toll House Clinic. She treats a wide variety of podiatry / chiropody problems such as hard skin, corns, verrucae’s and specialises in ingrowing toenails with the full and partial removal. She is also able to carry out full biomechanical assessments on the lower limb. She is an up to date efficient podiatrist capable of providing excellent care.
Sports & Holistic Massage
Holistic massage takes into account a person’s whole being and can be used for relaxation, stimulation or rehabilitation. Each treatment is tailored to suit the individual needs of a patient. Claire has a unique nurturing touch that involves the whole person – physically and emotionally. She is calm and soothing whilst her experienced hands work away those knotted muscles. Massage for back spasm and neck tension is particularly effective for pain relief.
Ally is qualified in sports massage which aids all soft tissue and most sporting injuries. It is also a preventative as far as injuries are concerned therefore keeping athletes training at a high level. It may be a firmer massage than aromatherapy or holistic in order to release muscle tension
Pilates - Level 3 Diploma
Sue is an expert in pilates exercises. Pilates is a body conditioning method that works by targeting the deep postural muscles. This re-balances the body and brings it in correct postural alignment. It improves body awareness and focus releasing tension as you exercise. Sue has been with the team at Toll House Clinic since 1998 and has a great following. She explains the exercises clearly and is enthusiastic whilst varying your individual tailor made programme.
